Easy Tiger’s Doctor Doctor (aka The Heart Guy) has been commissioned for a fifth season it has been announced.
With the show sold to multiple countries worldwide Easy Tiger’s Ian Collie said: “In a time of great uncertainty and anxiety, the news that our feelgood drama Doctor Doctor aka The Heart Guy was to be commissioned for a fifth season was a cause for great celebration by cast, crew and all the fans of the show. Virtual champagne glasses were clinked all round! This new season will bring out the hope in Whyhope.”
Based on an original idea by Tony McNamara (The Favourite, The Great) and Ian Collie (Rake, Jack Irish), Doctor Doctor is produced by Easy Tiger Productions for Nine.

With production dates yet to be set, the current season will return to Nine on Wednesday 22 April. Fremantle handles the international sales.
