BUNYA PRODUCTIONS SUPERSIZES WITH ANNOUNCEMENT OF THIRD INDIGENOUS PRODUCER PLACEMENT

Bunya Productions, the prolific feature film and TV drama production company today announced the appointment of Tanith Glynn-Maloney as its third Indigenous Producer Placement for the group. 

The announcement comes after Bunya Productionsreceived funding from the Indigenous Screen Business Fund, a special initiative run by Screen Australia’s Indigenous Department aimed to help build business capacity within the Indigenous screen production sector.

Tanith will be working across Bunya’s film and television productions overseen by David Jowsey and Greer Simpkin. Her appointment follows Gillian Moody’s placement in 2018. Gillian went onto produce Black Divaz for SBS Television.

Mitch Stanley, producer of critically acclaimed documentary Servant or Slave was also part of the Screen Australia Indigenous Producer Placement program and has joined the Bunya Talent Hub, working from the Bunya production office and developing and producing a slate of Indigenous led projects.

Tanith has produced She Who Must Be Loved - a bio doc about the life of Freda Glynn, which recently screened at BerlinaleRobbie Hood - a 6 x 10 minute comedy series for SBS, and Nulla Nulla - a short comedy and winner of the Best Short Film at the AACTA’s in 2015. Tanith has also worked as a Development and Production Executive Manager within the Indigenous Department of Screen Australia. 

Tanith had previously worked with Bunya on Sweet Country and Every King Tide and as part of her new role will continue to work across film and television.
