Wake In Fright is screening in official competition at Le Festival de la Creation Audiovisuelle Internationale (FIPA) in France this week it has been announced.
One of the world’s most prestigious television festivals, the series is in the official drama competition with other titles from countries including France, Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Germany, Japan and the United States.
Starring Sean Keenan, David Wenham, Alex Dimitriades and Caren Pistorius, Wake In Fright premiered to critical acclaim on Network TEN last year.
A Lingo Pictures production, produced in association with Endemol Shine Australia with the financial assistance of Screen Australia and Screen NSW, Wake In Fright was directed by Kriv Stenders, produced by Helen Bowden and Kristian Moliere, and written by Stephen M Irwin.
Producers Helen Bowden and Kristian Moliere said: “We are delighted that Wake In Fright is representing Australia on the world stage in such a significant competition.”
