The dance community came together last evening in a remarkable Gala to support injured dancer Tom Elphick. With over 40 acts comprising hundreds of dancers from many disciplines, the Gala raised just under $30,000 which will greatly assist his transition from hospital to home.
Tom was in his final year as a contemporary dance student at the respected Codarts Rotterdam when he sustained a severe injury to his spine rendering him paralysed from the neck down.
In the intervening months, Tom has begun to write his own remarkable recovery story with the support of professionals and friends.
